Ankur is an entrepreneur & investor in the technology venture investing space. He is a Co-founder & Partner at Globevestor, a new-age online venture capital firm that invests in category-leading companies in India & US. As part of that, he plays two professional roles everyday - those of an investor and an entrepreneur -- and works out of Gurgaon (mostly) and San Francisco (sometimes).
As an early-stage investor at Globevestor, Ankur has written close to 60 checks in about 35 deals. These investments span a variety of sectors, including transport, edtech, healthtech, SaaS, fintech, consumer and cleantech. He is sector agnostic in his investment thesis and is currently involved with the boards of Flintobox, BRB, Toolbox and Growisto.
Earlier, Ankur had a decade-long career in management consulting at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Strategic Decisions Group (SDG). He worked in Asia and Africa, including in India, China, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan and Egypt, and his consulting focus was on pharma, banking, finance, infrastructure and agribusiness sectors.
Ankur graduated from IIT Bombay in 2004 with a graduate & post-graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
